We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Sales to lead and develop our in-home sales team for Southeastern PA and Delaware.
Responsibilities
- Lead Sales Managers company-wide to achieve sales targets
- Create, review and analyze sales reports, metrics and forecasts
- Maintain, enhance and participate in sales training programs for new and existing Designers/salespeople
- Monitor sales performance and hold Managers and their salespeople accountable for results while still maintaining a positive work environment
- Evaluate performance metrics and suggest improvements for the Sales Managers and their people as needed
- Maintain healthy working relationships with clients and business partners
- Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in commercial accounts
- Aid in the negotiation and help to close agreements with clients, as needed
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts
- Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with clients’ needs
- Stay up to date with new product launches and ensure sales team members are on board
- Continue to develop and implement effective sales and sales management strategies
- Use market data, statistics, and trends to establish sales goals with the Sales Managers
- Manage sales department budget
- Motivate, recognize and reward top sales producers creating an environment of recognition
- Create presentations for meetings, business partners, corporate executives
- Develop and implement sales procedures and policies
- Review marketing inadequacies and adjust plans
- Network with potential business partners and clients
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Business Administration, Marketing or a similar field; advanced degree preferred
- In-Home home improvement sales background
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in a sales management position directing and managing Sales Managers, preferably as a Sales Director or National Sales Manager
- Proficient in MS Office, Excel, and Google Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional time management and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of market trends and behaviors
- Experience managing an effective, high-performance sales team
- Knowledge of CRM software and other sales management software
- Ability to understand and analyze sales performance metrics
- Excellent negotiation skills
